CALENDAR AD SALES
This is a proven fundraising technique and a tradition for Mel-Hi Crew. The goal for
each family is to get the word out to as many friends and family as you can. We ask
for 12 names and addresses of friends or businesses that you know and think may be
willing to help the team. We work as a committee to mail the packages out to the
addressees that you provide. In addition, feel free to personally approach your friends
and family to ask for donations for the calendar. Just be sure to indicate your rower
on the form so that credit will be given towards your dues. This information will also
be available at the October 7 general meeting in the Mel High School cafeteria. We
can review the process and answer questions at that time.

We are behind schedule this year since many weeks were lost seeking and hiring
coaches. Therefore, the due date for fall season dues has been extended to
November 1st to give everyone a chance to offset their obligation with the calendar
ad donations. This is optional as full payment of the dues greatly enhances our ability
to meet the budget goals and cover unexpected expenses. We are very fortunate to
have a great coaching staff and a group of enthusiastic rowers as we enter Mel-Hi
Crew's 32nd year. We thank everyone for their participation.

g Items must be in good condition.
g Although clothing will be accepted, it is difficult to display.
g No underwear.
g If you have extra bags and boxes, please bring those for our customers.
g Volunteers are needed to help throughout the sale, and we will need parents to
return afterward to help clean up and re-claim unsold items or donate to charity.
