I rowed for Mel-High my junior and senior year. Really helped shape my life and I made some really great friends, as well as great memories. Mel-Hi helped me move into college rowing and was a big part of my life. I am now joining the navy and actually shipping out June 6 2011!

Melbourne, FL - I graduated in 1980, but rowed in my junior year. A member of the first girl's crew team, the second year of the program. What we wouldn't have done to have all those lovely boats to race in. The "Doc", our only boat, weighed 600 pounds and our coach, Dan Bartlett, made us girls carry it down to the water. "You row it. You carry it." :)

I'm a senior at Florida Southern College, graduating in December 2008. I'm a business administration major with a concentration in Marketing Management. I will be looking for jobs after December and am hoping to work in Orlando for a while and then move on to the north somewhere. I was in crew in High School, and won State Champions my novice year of crew!

I went to Mel High from 2006-2007 and met some of my best friends during that year. I am currently finishing up at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business with a major in Business Management and a Minor in Finance. I work for a financial advisor and own my own photography business. I was recruited for rowing while at Mel High and signed with SMU in 2006. I have many great memories of rowing and the people of Mel High Crew and am so fortunate to have been on the team!

After I graduated I attended the University of Central Florida, majoring in Business Administration. I was on the UCF rowing team Fall 2007. After the end of the year, I took a huge step and got married to Robbie Taylor who is an United States Airman in the U.S. Air Force. We are currently stationed and living in Germany! I'm continuing my major here through the University of Maryland and exploring Europe! Support our troops and goooo bulldogs! :-) Keep on rowing!!

Best memory was placing 4th at the Head of the Hooch Fall 2006 in a mixed 8 event. I am currently rowing for the University of South Florida where I just finished my novice year on the team. I rowed for Mel-High Crew for my four years of high school. It was the best experience of my life and it shaped me to be the person I am today. I made many lifelong friends and memories through rowing. Now I am at UCF and rowing for them in the spring! I will always keep in contract with Mel –High Crew and rowing will always be in my life. My favorite memories from MHS Crew was racing in the double(2X) with my twin, Katy Smithson
